This trip lasts three weeks and includes time in the fascinating city of Kathmandu on the first day before flying to Lukla, deep in the Himalayas. You will visit the stunning Everest region and see some of the most famous mountains in the area including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Ama Dablam.
The trip involves gentle walking with Sherpa Guides and porters, staying in lodges along the way. The people of this region are primarily Buddhist and being part of their world is an inspiring and thought provoking experience. There are numerous monasteries along the route and time can be spent meditating, observing the lifestyle of the monks and interacting with these gentle humble people. There is flexibility in the number of visits to monasteries you undertake depending on your interest.
This walk is a very peaceful experience in warm sunny weather at a relaxed pace with wonderful people who are delightful to be with. A great way to relax and 'switch off'.
